Beyond Sound – A Cacao & Fire Ceremony

Cacao – Fire – Sound – Reiki – Aromatherapy

Join Jorge Alonso Marquez and I for this incredible event we crated for you. Sit by the fire as you sip the cacao drink I prepare specially for this, then dive into the breath to open the heart and calm the mind as you get ready for the vibrations and sounds that Alonso creates with the crystal bowls, drums and more. As you relax into the sounds, I will come around and offer loving Reiki to help reorganize the energy body. We finish our night with delicious hugs and a sense of peace.

*All the elements provided/harnessed can be used for true introspection, regression, healing, or many other metaphysical activities depending on your level of knowledge and self application.*

Cacao Ceremony

Cacao ceremonies have been happening for thousands of years within the Mayan culture, as they call this delicious beverage “Drink of the Gods” due to the great amount of physical and mental benefits found in the plant.  Ceremonial cacao is carefully prepared within the Mayan and Peruvian traditions and brought to the event to be consumed. From the choice of raw cacao to the preparatory ceremony to the intention placed onto the drink – love, peace, health and prosperity – the “Drink of the Gods” is served warm with a choice of extra spices and a personalized set up.

The cacao drink is filled with flavonols, minerals and antioxidants that increase cardiovascular activity as well as relaxes muscle and mind, helping the body release dopamine, giving everyone a sense of peace and relaxation. As we open the circle, sharing our hearts and getting to connect to one another, we slowly sip the cacao drink as a guided meditation takes place to promote a deep sense of belonging and becoming one.

Here’s some science on Cacao Benefits:

Physical:

Improve cardiovascular health

Flavanols are an anti-inflammatory and heart-protective antioxidant group found in cacao, which helps lower blood pressure, improving vascular function and glucose metabolism.

Rich in Antioxidants

Antioxidants lower free radicals and assist the body in building collagen and keratin.

Enhances the immune system

Cacao contains Potassium, Phosphorus, Copper, Iron, Zinc, and Magnesium which strengthen the immune system, lowers cholesterol and blood pressure, and increases vitality.

Highest Plant-Based Source of Iron – at  7.3mg per 100g.

This compares to beef and lamb at 2.5mg, and spinach at 3.6mg. Note the iron in cacao is non-heme (as is all plant-based iron), so to get the maximum benefits you’ll want to combine it with some vitamin C. (source begoodorganics.com)

Mental

Cacao is full of Magnesium, which helps turn glucose into energy, enabling your brain to be clear and focused. It also help alleviate depression due to the amount of Theobromine released in the body, activating the production of dopamine, the ‘pleasure’ hormone.  High Valeric Acid content in cacao blocks the stress hormones, while triggering the release of “bliss chemicals” Dopamine and the endorphin Phenylethylamine. It also contains the essential amino acid Tryptophan, which increases production of Serotonin, an important brain chemical that helps us remain positive and happy.
